Mahindra has raised the curtains of the much-awaited car of the year, which is Thar ROXX which is 5 five-door version of the original Thar. Mahindra aims to make the Thar SUV Brand no 1 in the >12.5L Price Segment in the next 3-5 years. So let’s dive into the details of the car.
Mahindra Thar ROXX Specifications
Firstly the diesel is a powerful D22 2.2 liter mHawk Engine that pumps out 175 ps at 3500 rpm and 370 nm at 1500 – 3000 rpm mated to a 6-speed manual and AISIN automatic gearbox.
The petrol engine is powered by a G20 TGDI 2.0 liter mStallion Engine which pumps out 177 ps at 5000 rpm and 380 nm at 3000 rpm mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
The technology they used here is a new generation turbocharger with an Electric actuated Turbo for the sudden surge of power and Premium and Effortless Transmissions. These engines provide Best-in-class Fuel Economy and the number is yet to be revealed.
