Lamborghini has recently unveiled the Latest petrol hybrid V8 motor with three electric motors the HPEV which will be used in the next generation cars of Lamborghini.
This engine configuration is a twin-turbo V8 with electric motors from Sant Agata Bolognese. It is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 engine with 800 hp at 9000 to 9750 rpm and an impressive redline limit of 10,000 rpm which is very high and mostly used in race cars. A mind-boggling 730 nm of torque between 4000 to 7000 rpm with very progressive acceleration.
Transmission is taken care of by an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
The electric motors alone make 147 hp at 3500 rpm and 300 of maximum torque in electric-only mode. The sound of a V8 is very angry and distinctive.
