BSA Goldstar 650 is powered by a single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine with twin spark plugs with a displacement of 652 cc and a compression ratio of 11:5:1. Goldstar 650 pumps out 44 hp at 6500 rpm and 55 nm at 4000 rpm mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Goldstar 650 braking is a phenomenal one with a large single 320 mm floating disc with twin-piston calipers from the house of Brembo and a single 235 mm single-piston caliper from Brembo and dual channel ABS as standard. Brembo brakes are seen on higher capacity and costlier bikes but BSA has given them at that price point which is outstanding.
