BMW India has launched the latest sports tourer with its most advanced M configuration at a Price of Rs 45 lakhs ex-showroom. Let’s dive into the details of the motorcycle.
BMW M1000 XR Specifications
BMW M1000 XR is powered by a powerful inline 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 999 cc pumping out an outstanding 201 hp at 12,750 rpm and 113 nm at 11,000 rpm mated to a 6-speed gearbox with BMW shiftcam technology. The M1000 XR accelerates from 0 to 100 in 3.2 seconds and has an impressive top speed of 278 km/hr, a fuel capacity of 20 liters that can take you to some distance.
Suspension and Brakes
Suspension duties are taken care of by 45 mm upside-down forks with fully adjustable for rebound and damping, rear has a monoshock with preload-adjustable and damping settings. Seat height is 850 mm standard and adjustable seat height options are available in the M package with 820 mm low and 870 mm high seat height options.
The tires are the large 120/70 R17 at the front and 200/55 R17 at the rear with traction control and dynamic engine braking control.
Twin disc setup at the front with dual 320 mm 4 piston calipers and a single 220 mm 1 piston caliper for excellent stopping power with ABS, ABS Pro, TPMS, Steering damper, Wheelie control, Slide control, Launch control, and Hill start assist.
