2024 Jawa 42 Bobber Ride Review
At the heart of the engine, is a 334 cc single-cylinder engine with 29.9 ps and 30 nm, coming to the riding part the engine is very refined with very slight vibration at higher rpms. The bike easily picks up the pace from 0 to 100 and comes under 10 seconds, performance is quick with lots of torque on tap but it is available in the higher rpm range and a fantastic base heavy sound from the dual exhaust system which is unique for a single cylinder engine setup on the engine front there are no complaints it can do most of the riding be it city or the highway riding.
Suspension
Mind you first that it is a bobber motorcycle which is very true to its nature so you have to compromise on some bits like suspension it is very stiff, and no comfort is offered in bad road conditions there is a 7-step adjustable mono shock absorber at the rear but it doesn’t help to comfort the riding conditions you will feel every bump and every road undulations on to the body and front suspension is a 35 mm diameter unit.
Tires and Brakes
On our bike, we have Ceat Zoom Cruz tires right from the showroom and they perform well. There are no complaints over there with good grip and feedback, a 100/90 R18 at the front for better stability, and the bike wants to travel very straight even when you try to do cornering the bike lifts up straight and moves forward as it was not a sporty motorcycle to do that. At the rear 140/70 R17 Ceat Zoom Cruz tyres are used it does the duty for the power the bike has to offer without any problem.

Pros
- Refined engine
- Excellent power
- Dual exhaust system
- Looks of the bobber, it is a head Turner
- Brakes have good stopping power
- Tires with good grip and stability
- Nice retro styling like key lock placement near the engine
- On board charger
- Good switch gear quality
- Excellent fit and finish
- Good highway cruising speeds at 100 to 115 km/hr
Cons
- Side stand which is difficult to find as it was under the silencer
Bar end mirrors are very uncomfortable to engage the clutch lever while riding
- Gear rod and bumper placement, it touches your feet to the bumper while changing gears, if you wear a shoe it directly touches the bumper
The rear accessory seat is not recommended because we opted for the rear seat and it is not comfortable
Ground clearance is not downside but if you come to encounter a humongous speed breaker like us your crash guard will be scrapped.
- Be cautious while riding on speed breakers
- Anybody over 6 feet is not recommendable because of its low seat height of 740 mm you may feel cramped
- Finally, the display which is unable to read in the daylight because of its black color background very annoying.
